Black Gemstone Jewelry Set
Title
Black Gemstone Jewelry Set
Description
Czech glassmakers (especially those from Gablonz) have been making jewelry for hundreds of years. Originally, the beads and gems were made by melting down glass rods into molds and then faceting the cooled beads and gems together. In the 1800's, Daniel Swarovski helped to introduce Czech glassmakers to new technology, but today the traditional methods are still used. During the 1920's and 30's, Czech jewelry become popular in the United States and ended up being exported in large quantities.
