Alice Stukenholtz's Diary/Autograph Book

Title

Alice Stukenholtz's Diary/Autograph Book

Description

This "Class Autographs" book with verses and writings from friends and family is a continuation of the rich tradition of the 19th century albums. Alice Stukenholtz used her book made in the 1930s not just to collect signatures and wishes from friends at school, but to record events in her family, too. With calling cards and pictures pasted into it, this book is an object of popular culture and a unique source for family and community history.
