Description

Václav Karel asked for invalid pension on September 13, 1897 at the age of 58 due to rheumatism and disease of the digestive organs, lungs, liver, and kidneys.

After the Civil War the Pension Bureau grew quickly and created bureaucratic procedures to provide reliable pension services to veterans. Forms such as these were part of this new bureaucracy.
